Located along Interstate 20 and served by State Highway 20/138, Rockdale is home to more than 90 manufacturers and nearly 40 Fortune 500 firms. Rockdale County received international attention during the 1996 Centennial Olympics when more than 600,000 people visited the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers to attend equestrian events.
Rockdale is the smallest county in metropolitan Atlanta and second smallest of Georgia's 159 counties in both land and population. The county has experienced growth in recent years with an influx of new residents who are attracted to its quality of life, family-friendly atmosphere and attractive new home communities.
