Cherokee County Overview (printable)

From Lake Allatoona to the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains; the educational and cultural offerings of Reinhardt College to the athletic offerings of the Cherokee County Recreation and Parks Authority; the fast growing city of Woodstock to the slower pace of the city of Ball Ground, Cherokee County offers something for everyone. Interstates 75 and 575 make Cherokee County convenient to all that Atlanta has to offer, with southern Cherokee being relatively close to Atlanta and northern Cherokee County being a more pastoral retreat.

Cherokee County is one of the greater Atlanta region's fastest-growing counties with nearly a dozen golf course comunities and several master-planned development. Because the area was largely rural until the past ecade, there's a plethora of new home communities to choose from and many of the resale homes are less than 20 years old.
